Festivals Review
The Shrewsbury International Tournament Included Three One Day Development Festivals for Ages 8, 9 and 10. These Festivals provided 5 hours of Football for those taking part with regular short games all started and finished by the deafening sound of our air-horn.
No Results were recorded and every particpant received a Medal and a Copy of Total Youth Footie as a reward for their efforts. Over 35 Teams took part with Academy Sides from Swansea City, Bangor FC and Tranmere Rovers joined by Development Centre Squads from Stoke City, Shropshire Villa, Wrexham and West Bromwich Albion as well as local Club sides such as Willenhall, Montgomery, Waterloo and hosts Bishops Castle.
These ever popular Festivals will be run at the same ages in 2009 with the addition of a NEW age 6/7 event.
